Service to Society Goals
• To contribute to economic and social development by educating graduates who have high knowledge, skills, and competence in terms of professionalism and ethics with a practice-oriented learning and teaching approach that supports the social contribution activities determined in accordance with the strategic plan,
• To carry out research and to produce projects that will contribute to the economic and social development of the society and the region in cooperation with the stakeholders,
• To ensure that the information produced is used for the benefit of society,
• To provide community-oriented and community-based education in order to raise individuals who are sensitive to individual and cultural differences and social problems, conscious of social conditions and problems, responsible, service and solution-oriented,
• To support the implementation of social responsibility projects carried out in the community through courses and projects within the scope of the curriculum, as well as the voluntary activities of student clubs,
• To encourage the cooperation of internal and external stakeholders within the scope of service to society,
• To provide advanced technology and human resource products to the service of humanity in the fields of research on the priority problems of the society which aimed at transforming the research, development and educational activities carried out by all units into a social contribution
• To encourage academicians and research teams constantly in order to ensure that research and development activities can be transformed into social contribution, to attach importance to adding value by benefiting science and humanity with the many application and research centers it has within its structure,
• To present the as a result of research and development activities for the benefit of the society with the support of the Technology Transfer Office, to ensure continuity in the realization of the goal of serving humanity, which has been adopted by all internal stakeholders,
• To organize cultural and social activities as well as to organize training programs for external stakeholders in a way that will encourage lifelong learning,
• To support the Social Awareness Projects in which the students take part and the activities carried out within the scope of these projects,
• To carry out studies to increase academic interest in social problems and to carry out studies aimed at raising social awareness,
• To strengthen lifelong learning activities for the society,
• To create sustainable living spaces that respect nature, to create the governance model necessary for this, to protect natural and cultural assets, to provide a safe and accessible living environment for all individuals with and without disabilities,
• To support activities aimed at raising awareness on gender equality, the rights of children and people with special needs,
• To make scientific information accessible to the general public.
