The Quality Commission of Giresun University was established to conduct quality assurance activities in accordance with the “Regulation on Quality Assurance in Higher Education” (Official Gazette No. 29423, 23 July 2015) and the “Regulation on Quality Assurance in Higher Education and the Higher Education Quality Council” (Official Gazette No. 30604, 23 November 2018).
These processes, coordinated by the Strategy Development Department until the end of 2019, were restructured in 2020 into a more comprehensive framework. The University’s Quality Assurance Directive has systematised all quality processes.
The Coordinatorship conducts the University’s quality assurance activities with the participation of internal and external stakeholders, guided by a continuous improvement approach.
In line with its quality policy and strategic plan, Giresun University adopts as its quality assurance policy the design of an integrated structure of quality assurance mechanisms, measurement and evaluation activities and processes established in accordance with international standards; determining whether the strategies aligned with its mission and vision and the objectives linked to those strategies have been achieved, taking into account the responsibilities and positions of all its units; and providing services to its internal and external stakeholders in accordance with the defined standards while ensuring the sustainability of these services.
