In accordance with the "Higher Education Quality Assurance Regulation" published by the Higher Education Council in the Official Gazette dated 23.07.2015 and numbered 29423, and the "Higher Education Quality Assurance and Higher Education Quality Board Regulation" published by the Higher Education Quality Board in the Official Gazette dated 23.11.2018 and numbered 30604. A Quality Commission was established to carry out the work.
The relationship between Giresun University Quality Commission and Unit Quality and Accreditation Commissions was coordinated by the Strategy Development Department until the end of 2019. In our university, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Şanal, faculty member of the Faculty of Education, was appointed as Quality Coordinator with the rectorship dated January 06, 2020. With the Senate resolution dated February 20, 2020 and numbered 2020-179/4, necessary plans and evaluations were started to be made through the inhale of the quality commission at the university together with accreditation, academic evaluation and quality coordinatorship, quality assurance system, education and training, research and development, social contribution and management system subcommittees were established in order to better manage quality processes in the institution and for this purpose, the Quality Assurance Directive of our University was established.
"Giresun University Assesment, Evaluation and Continuous Improvement Commission" was established with the Rector's Degree dated July 14, 2020 to measure and monitor the satisfaction/complaint/recommendations of internal and external shareholders in the Quality Assurance System processes, to carry out measurements with reliable and valid methods, and to determine the mechanisms to be used to ensure the safe use of the data obtained in the recovery steps.
Assignments of Coordinatorship
-To support the Quality Commission within the framework of the procedures and principles determined by the Quality Assurance Directive,
-To ensure coordination in internal and external audit processes,
-To determine, implement and maintain the processes necessary for the establishment of the Quality Management System,
-To identify and report on needs for Quality Management System performance and improvement,
-To ensure the struming of the Quality Management System by following the quality standards,
-To ensure that unit quality representatives, process managers and employees receive trainings related to Quality Management Systems, to provide relevant trainings,
-To ensure the conduct of communication and processes with external organizations in matters related to the Quality Management System,
-To contribute to the strategic planning process of the university.
