Giresun University adopts as its learning and teaching policy an integrative approach to education that enables its managers, teaching staff, all other employees and its students to become innovative leaders in their fields and to succeed in their lives after graduation. Within this approach the University maintains a programme structure designed in accordance with international standards and on the basis of continuous improvement, updated to meet the needs and expectations of all relevant parties; sustains its student-centred understanding of education and its research-based approaches through a qualified teaching staff and new learning and teaching methods; enables students to become familiar with research processes and problems and to learn through inquiry; attaches importance to quality awareness; and upholds the principles of ethics and professionalism.
