GIMER — Giresun University Communication Centre

GIMER

The institutional application system through which you can submit complaints, service requests, suggestions, information requests and appreciation through a single channel. Every application is registered, given a tracking number and answered within a defined period.
Online 24/7Tracked by numberConfidential option

GIMER is the institutional communication centre that receives every kind of message addressed to our University through a single door, classifies it, routes it to the unit concerned and reports the outcome back to the applicant. The system is operated by the Department of Information Technologies.

In quality assurance terms, GIMER is a defined mechanism that replaces scattered and untraceable feedback channels. Where a message went, who handled it and how long it took to resolve are all recorded in the system. That record makes stakeholder engagement a practice that can be evidenced rather than merely asserted.

GIMER and Quality Assurance

Feedback becomes quality assurance evidence not when it is received but when it turns into an improvement. GIMER is the first link in that loop: it registers the message, routes it to the unit concerned and monitors the response time. Analysing the messages collected and turning recurring themes into improvement decisions falls within the scope of our quality processes.

For students. You can use GIMER to share your views on your courses, your programme or campus services. If you would like to take part in quality processes directly, you can serve on a unit student quality committee or join the Quality Society. The satisfaction surveys administered each term are a further channel for your views.
