Named and transferable quality practices carried out across our units. The pool was compiled by reviewing the 2025 self-evaluation reports of our units together with their websites.

In quality assurance the value of a piece of work comes not only from having been done but from being applicable elsewhere. The practices on this page were selected against three criteria: that they are a named and completed institutional act, that they can be evidenced, and that another unit could adopt them. Statements of minimum compliance that every unit is required to meet, such as establishing a committee or defining a mission, were not included.

Faculty of EducationThe University's first undergraduate accreditation: full accreditation from EPDAD for two programmes
The Science Teaching and Primary Mathematics Teaching programmes received full accreditation for the period 1 May 2026 to 1 May 2029. A first at undergraduate level in the University's history. Two years of systematic preparation addressed infrastructure, human resources and assessment as a whole.

The First and Emergency Aid and Medical Laboratory Techniques programmes were accredited. An example of multi-programme accreditation run simultaneously within a single unit.

Having completed accreditation for its first two programmes, the School extended the process to the Physiotherapy and Child Development programmes; the preliminary application was accepted.

Tourism Management students made applied training visits to Hotel Ayatoure, Ramada by Wyndham and Bulancak Basoglu Hotel. An example of accreditation preparation carried out of the classroom and into the sector.
Coordinatorship of Vocational SchoolsOn-site dissemination of accreditation practice across vocational schools
The Coordinatorship visited vocational schools, Espiye and Kesap among them, to brief them on accreditation in person, and held a joint programme with the Quality Coordinatorship. A model of dissemination through cooperation between coordinatorships.
Department of Information TechnologiesRedesign of application portals against a user experience criterion
The Medical Research Ethics Committee and double major/minor application portals were redesigned, and all automation interfaces are now developed with human-computer interaction criteria in mind.
