Quality Assurance Status Report for 2020 Distance/Blended Education Activities of Higher Education Institutions has been published in order to evaluate the distance /blended education practices implemented by higher education institutions with the Covid-19 pandemic in terms of quality assurance processes.
In the new normalization process, HEI's are expected to transfer education and training services to distance education environments in a healthy way without compromising the learning outcomes (knowledge, skills, competence and values) that they commit to provide students with. This new process, which can be defined as “blended education”, brings along new approaches, methods, environments, resources; and includes sustainable and improvable (on regular basis) practices that are more systematic than the emergency teaching practices of the pandemic period and more suitable for student expectations as well.
We hope that Quality Assurance Status Report for 2020 Distance/Blended Education Activities of Higher Education Institutions , which aims to be a guide for a qualified development with a quality assurance perspective beyond describing the situation in distance/blended education processes, will contribute to the Turkish Higher Education System.
