A visit was made by Accreditation, Academic Evaluation and Quality Coordinatorship to our University Rector, Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Can in order to inform him about the activities that were carried out and the planned studies.
At the meeting held in the presence of the Rector on October 25, 2022. In the presentation prepared by the coodinatorship, completed and upcoming studies were described in detail.
At the meeting, information was given about the documents prepared regarding the quality processes of the university, meetings, and field visits for stakeholder interaction. Evaluations were made about the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP) carried out by the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) and the studies aimed at program accreditation in some academic units, especially in the Faculty of Education.
The study that reveals the current status of the education programs of our university on the course information package system was examined, and it was decided to focus on designing, periodically evaluating, and updating studies that are compatible with the National Qualifications Framework for Higher Education in Turkey (NQF-HETR) in all programs, in accordance with the teaching objectives and learning outcomes. At the meeting, evaluations were made regarding the implementation process of the questionnaires, which were planned by the Assessment, Evaluation, and Continuous Improvement Committee of our university and will be implemented for the first time this year. At the meeting, negotiations were made about field visits to evaluate the academic units within the scope of quality assurance, learning-teaching, research and development, and the governance system
At the meeting, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Can stated that the studies that were carried out to improve the quality assurance system at our university are very important, in this regard, he stated that he closely follows the multidimensional studies conducted by the Accreditation, Academic Evaluation and Coordinationship. Also, he expressed his appreciation to Mustafa Şanal and his team for being at the forefront of quality studies as a university.
In addition to the Rector, Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Can, the coordinator of the Accreditation, Academic Evaluation, and Quality, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Şanal, the assistants of the coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Serkan Abdüsselam, Dr. Firdevs İclal Karataş Aydın, Branch Manager Seyfi Göktekin, members of the coordinatorship, Instructor Hakan Sipahi and Instructor Osman Serdal Karapınar, attended the meeting.
