On April 19, 2023, under the chairmanship of our Rector Prof. Dr. Yılmaz CAN, the senate meeting numbered 234 was held in the rectorate senate meeting hall of our university. At the meeting, information was provided about the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP), which is on the agenda.
At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Yılmaz CAN, who expressed that they attach importance to the opinions and suggestions of all stakeholders with a participatory and transparent management approach as Giresun University, emphasized that the university, which continues its studies in quality assurance and accreditation within a strategic plan, needs the efforts of all stakeholders in order to achieve new achievements.
After the speech of our rector, Dr. Hakan Sipahi from the Accreditation, Academic Evaluation, and Quality Coordinatorship, gave information about the quality assurance and accreditation processes carried out at our university to the members of senate. He gave information about the institutional external evaluation processes and basic documents carried out by the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC), the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP), the steps of the program, the criteria and evaluation method, and the implementation of the legislation.
The Coordinator of the Accreditation, Academic Evaluation, and Quality Coordinatorship, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Şanal, assitants of the coordinator, Assist. Prof. Dr. Firdevs Iclal Karataş Aydın and Branch Manager Seyfi Göktekin, members of the coordinatorship, Dr. Hakan Sipahi and Instructor Osman Serdal Karapınar attended the meeting.
