Faculty of Medicine "Training of Trainers and Assessment and Evaluation Training Program" was held

Within the scope of studies such as periodic trainings and training of trainers to improve the measurement and evaluation activities carried out in order to contribute to the quality processes of the units in coordination with the Accreditation, Academic Evaluation, and Quality Coordinatorship and the Assessment, Evaluation, and Continuous Improvement Committee, a four-day training on "Training of Trainers and Assessment and Evaluation Training Program" was conducted by the Faculty of Medicine for faculty members between January 26 and 29, 2023.
On the first day of the "Training of Trainers and Assessment and Evaluation Training Program," which was organized on January 26, 2023, from 08.30 to 17.00, after the pretest that applied to participants, "How do we learn?" How do we teach? The Role of the Educator and Instructional Leadership," "Using the Features of Effective Medical Education in the Development of Curriculum," and "Learning Objectives: Why and How?" training were given.
On the second day of the program, which was organized on January 27, 2023, from 08.30–17:00, presentations were made on "How Should We Communicate with the Student?"; "How to Organize Teaching in Small Groups?"; "How to Organize Teaching in Large Groups?"; and "How Should We Do Skills Training?"
Within the scope of the third day of the training program held on January 28, 2023, at 08.30–17:00 and the fourth day on January 29, 2023, at 08.30–16:00, informative presentations were made on "How Should We Organize Training in the Clinic?" How Should We Evaluate Learning? Basic Concepts," "How Should We Evaluate Knowledge?" Written Exams? How Should We Evaluate Knowledge? "Multiple Choice Questions and Analysis," "Clinical Evaluation: Mini Clinical Exam, Multiple Choice Exams," "Shall We Prepare Qualified Questions?" "How Should We Evaluate Performance?" "OSCE, CORE," "Designing OSCE," "How Should We Evaluate High-Level Skills?" Portfolio and "How Should We Design Instruction?"
End-of-day evaluations were taken on each day of the four-day training process. The training was completed with the implementation of the post-test, the evaluation of the program, and the certification ceremony.
Within the scope of the organized program ; faculty member from Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University’s the Faculty of Medicine: Prof. Dr. Tevfik SÜNTER, Prof. Dr. Mustafa DİKİCİ, Prof. Dr. Levent GÜNGÖR, Prof. Dr. Sırrı BİLGE, Prof. Dr. Mennan Ece PİRZİRENLİ Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özlem MIDIK, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Servet AKER, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kürşat ŞAHIN and Assist. Prof. Dr. Rahman YAVUZ took part in the mentioned presentations as instructors.
