In the Faculty of Education of our university, studies on program accreditation processes continue to be carried out under the guidance of Accreditation, Academic Evaluation and Quality Coordinatorship. In this context, "Faculty of Education Accreditation Committee Working Procedures and Principles" was determined in order to carry out accreditation studies within the scope of defined processes and "Faculty Accreditation Committee" was established in line with these principles.
Within the scope of the relevant processes, studies have been started to apply for accreditation in "Science Teaching", "Primary School Mathematics Teaching" and "Guidance and Psychological Counseling" programs, taking into account the readiness for program accreditation in the Faculty of Education of our university and the academic and field-specific standards determined by AFEAEP.
As the Accreditation, Academic Evaluation and Quality Coordinatorship, a guideline study was shared with the programs in order to contribute to the realization of the necessary planning, implementation and evaluations in line with AFEAEP standards in the relevant programs.
Within the scope of program accreditation studies carried out with the aim of raising more qualified individuals who comprehend and implement current and developing education and training approaches; The instructors in charge of all programs within the faculty were assigned to the relevant processes, and the program outputs were examined and the purpose, mission, vision, course information package contents and course syllabi of the programs were updated.
On the website of Giresun University Faculty of Education, an interface called "Accreditation" has been created for the monitoring and management of accreditation activities. In addition, all these activities are shared with the public under the "Accreditation Utility" tab on the interface.
