In order to strengthen the culture of quality assurance at an institutional level across our university and to support the principles of transparency, traceability, and continuous improvement in teaching, research, and community engagement processes, the "Academic Unit Website Guide" has been prepared and published.

The guide aims to have the websites of faculties, colleges, vocational schools, institutes, departments, and programs structured in a way that is compatible with the Turkish Higher Education Qualifications Framework (TYYÇ), the YÖKAK evaluation criteria, and program accreditation expectations. It addresses, within an integrated framework, the main menus, subheadings, content types, and currency principles recommended for academic unit websites.

To make the guide more readily applicable and understandable, a sample academic unit website was set up at testfakulte.giresun.edu.tr , and the heading and content structure defined in the guide has been made concrete through this sample site. This sample application serves as a reference for our academic units and aims to demonstrate how the principles and standards set out in the guide can be applied in practice.

It is important, in terms of institutional visibility, accountability, and preparation for accreditation processes, that our academic units review, update, and manage their own websites in a sustainable manner in line with this guide.
