Our Coordinatorship took part in the weekly evaluation meeting of the Department of Strategy Development, held on Tuesday, 13 October 2026 at 11.00. Assist. Prof. Hakan Sipahi, Deputy Coordinator of Accreditation, Academic Evaluation and Quality, and Coordinatorship member Assist. Prof. Enis Taşçı attended the meeting.

 

At the meeting, attended by the heads of division and the staff of the Department, the topics were presented by Deputy Coordinator Assist. Prof. Hakan Sipahi. The preparations for the Institutional Accreditation Programme (KAP) carried out at our University were addressed first: the timetable of the online pre-visit on 26 October 2026 and the site visit on 15-18 November 2026, the documents the evaluation team will examine and the preparations expected from administrative units were shared.

 

Two systems recently put into practice at our University were also on the agenda. The Giresun University Communication Centre (GİMER), which enables stakeholder applications to be handled through a single, integrated and traceable channel, and the Quality Data Management System (KVYS), which provides permanent links to the current versions of quality documents, were introduced, and their place in daily workflows was explained.

 

Information was also given on the quality assurance work carried out by our Coordinatorship. The functioning of unit quality committees, the preparation of self-evaluation reports and the production of evidence were discussed in terms of the contribution of administrative units to quality processes.

 

Such briefing meetings held with administrative units are intended to strengthen a shared language around quality processes, to transfer the data produced in units to the institutional quality assurance system more effectively, and to help accreditation preparations advance simultaneously across the institution.
