On February 8, 2024, under the chairmanship of our Rector, Prof. Dr. Yılmaz CAN, a senate meeting numbered 251 was held in the rectorate senate meeting room. At the meeting, information was given about the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP), which is on the agenda.
At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Can stated that Giresun University attaches importance to the opinions and suggestions of all stakeholders with a participatory and transparent management approach, he also emphasized that the university, which continues to work within a strategic plan for quality assurance and accreditation, needs the efforts of all stakeholders to achieve new gains.
After the speech of our Rector, the Deputy Coordinator of Accreditation, Academic Evaluation, and Quality Coordinatorship, Assist. Prof. Dr. Hakan Sipahi informed the members of the senate about the quality assurance and accreditation processes carried out at our university. He gave information about the institutional external evaluation processes and basic documents carried out by the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC), the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP), the steps of the program, the criteria and evaluation method, and the application of legislation.
Coordinator Prof. Dr. Mustafa Şanal from the Accreditation, Academic Evaluation, and Quality Coordinatorship also attended the meeting.
