The Rector-Administrative Staff Meeting Evaluation Report, which assesses the attendance and survey results of the Rector-Administrative Staff Meeting at which our Rector came together with the administrative staff of our University, has been prepared and published by the Accreditation, Academic Evaluation and Quality Coordinatorship.

The report examines the meeting held on Wednesday, 14 October 2026 at the Şehit Ömer Halisdemir Conference Hall on the Güre Campus, on the basis of the attendance records collected via QR code in the hall and the anonymous evaluation survey administered online on 15-16 October 2026. The meeting was organised under the authority of the Office of the Secretary General, in cooperation with our Coordinatorship, the Department of Health, Culture and Sports and the Department of Strategy Development.

A total of 125 members of our administrative staff from 33 different units attended the meeting. Of the participants, 64 per cent came from the Rectorate, the Office of the Secretary General and the administrative departments, 34 per cent from faculties, institutes, schools and vocational schools, and 2 per cent from the health application and research units.

The evaluation survey administered after the meeting was answered by 53 members of our staff. On a five-point scale, overall satisfaction was measured at 4.32 and 83 per cent of participants stated that they agreed with this item. The highest averages were reached by the suitability of the hall and its layout (4.62) and the importance of the meeting (4.60); the suitability of the day, time and duration was rated at 4.49 and the clarity and usefulness of our Rector’s address at 4.32.

The report shows that the items on feeling part of the institution (4.08), knowing the goals of the University (4.15) and being able to express one’s views (4.17) vary across staff groups, and that meeting expectations more fully in these areas is important. Of the participants, 96 per cent want the meeting to be repeated; 43 per cent propose holding it twice a year, 30 per cent once a year and 23 per cent at the beginning of each semester.

The report sets out ten proposals for future meetings. The proposals cover holding the meeting regularly at the beginning of each semester and announcing its date in advance, setting the agenda from questions and suggestions collected from staff beforehand, organising separate or small-group sessions with administrative supervisors, administrative staff and technical and support staff, providing information on promotion, change of title, career development, personal rights, the working environment and physical conditions, sharing the goals of our University and the contribution of administrative staff to these goals in a short presentation, and publishing a briefing note on the matters raised at the meeting and the work carried out.

The views expressed at the meeting are recorded within the stakeholder participation and feedback management process conducted by our Coordinatorship and, under the Stakeholder Participation and Feedback Management Directive, form an input to improvement work. The report is intended to contribute to the planning of future meetings and to strengthening the participation of our administrative staff in institutional decisions. The report can be reached from the Documents section of the Surveys › Survey Evaluation page in the main menu of kalite.giresun.edu.tr.
