The Quality Literacy Test, developed by the Coordinatorship of Accreditation, Academic Evaluation and Quality, is now available. The test allows students as well as academic and administrative staff to assess their own level of knowledge of quality assurance concepts.

Each attempt draws ten questions at random from a pool of twenty-six. The questions cover twenty-three core concepts, including the PDCA cycle, evidence, self-evaluation, accreditation, stakeholder engagement and quality culture. All questions are based on the definitions published in our university's Quality Glossary.

How the test works

• Each question offers four options, presented in a different order on every attempt.
• Once an answer is given, the correct option is marked and the definition of the concept is shown as an explanation.
• Every question is linked to an entry in the Quality Glossary and to the corresponding episode of the Quality Screen video series.
• At the end, the test reports a score, a level assessment and guidance cards for the concepts answered incorrectly.

The Quality Literacy Test may be used in the preparation of members serving on unit quality committees and unit student quality committees, in briefing sessions held ahead of self-evaluation work, and in the orientation of staff new to quality assurance. It may be repeated as often as desired; questions are selected anew from the pool on each attempt.
