The “2026 Evaluator Introductory and Advanced Training”, organized by the Council of Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) for International Evaluators and Student Evaluators, has been completed. Three students from our university took part in the program.

The day-long training program covered the quality assurance system in higher education, YÖKAK’s external evaluation programs, the basic concepts and approaches used in evaluation processes, the duties and responsibilities of evaluators, and rubric maturity levels. The program ended with an exam and a general evaluation session.

The training sessions were delivered by YÖKAK Advisor Res. Asst. Sena Çatal, while Asst. Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Kozak Çakır, Advisor to the YÖKAK President and Coordinator of International Relations, also shared her knowledge and experience regarding evaluation processes with the participants.

From our university, Livanur Güngör and Melek Naz Polat, students enrolled in double-major programs, and Nur Banu Eyüpoğlu, a student of the Pre-School Teaching Program at the Faculty of Education, attended the program. Melek Naz Polat also serves as the student member of our University Quality Commission.

Student evaluatorship is a role that directly incorporates the student perspective into the quality assurance system and is of great importance for spreading our university’s quality culture. Our students’ participation in this training is gratifying in terms of strengthening student involvement in our institutional quality work.

We congratulate our students Livanur Güngör, Melek Naz Polat and Nur Banu Eyüpoğlu, who successfully completed the training, and wish them success in their work in evaluation processes.

We also thank the YÖKAK administration, our trainers and the entire YÖKAK team for their contributions to the program.
