The evaluation team of the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Vocational Education (MEDEK) conducted a site visit to the Physiotherapy Programme of our University's Vocational School of Health Services on 5-7 October 2026. During the three-day visit, the programme's teaching and learning activities, physical infrastructure and quality assurance processes were examined on site.

Our Coordinatorship of Accreditation, Academic Evaluation and Quality accompanied the Physiotherapy Programme's accreditation preparations from the very beginning of the process. Coordinator Prof. Dr. Mustafa ŞANAL, Deputy Coordinator Assist. Prof. Dr. Hakan SİPAHİ, and our Coordinatorship members Lect. Osman Serdal KARAPINAR and Assist. Prof. Dr. Enis TAŞÇI contributed with their guidance and opinions on various aspects of the preparation phase.

Throughout the site visit, our Coordinatorship continued to support the process by sharing information and providing guidance on the School's quality assurance processes. Work was carried out with the School administration and the programme team on institutional quality assurance, internal evaluation mechanisms and evidence management.

On the first day of the visit, the evaluation team, accompanied by School Director Prof. Dr. Aytaç GÜDER, met our Rector and Vice Rectors, and subsequently visited our departmental directorates. These meetings addressed the School's quality processes, administrative structure and institutional support mechanisms.

Meetings were held the same day with the Physiotherapy Programme Head and the programme's academic staff; curriculum implementation, applied training and internship processes, infrastructure facilities and sectoral cooperation were discussed. Classrooms, the physiotherapy practice laboratory and social areas were inspected on site.

On the second day, the remaining topics were completed, and the team held individual meetings with students, administrative staff and support units. At the exit briefing held on the final day, the findings were presented to the School Directorate and the Physiotherapy Programme Head.

The outcome of the accreditation process will be announced on 31 December 2026. Programme accreditation constitutes one of the most tangible outputs of our University's quality assurance system at programme level, and our Coordinatorship continues to support our units throughout these processes.
