With the coordination of our University's Strategy Development Department and Accreditation, Academic Evaluation and Quality Coordinatorship, a training entitled with "In-Service Training Program on Institutional Risk Management Processes" was held at the Şehit Ömer Halisdemir Conference Hall on Wednesday, July 06, 2022, between 10:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
The training program, which was carried out face-to-face at our university with the purpose of effectively and efficiently identifying, monitoring, and evaluating risks in institutional risk management processes, was held in two separate sessions. The first session was attended by the managers of the academic unit risk management team (dean / director / head of department), academic unit risk coordinators (vice-dean/ Assistant director ) and sub-unit risk coordinators. The second session was attended by the secretaries of the institute / faculty / school / vocational school and GUYBIS data entry officers of the academic units.
Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Yılmaz CAN who gave the opening speech of the program, stated that Together with its students and employees, Giresun University is a large family of approximately thirty thousand people, and he emphasized the importance of studies that contribute to the university's growth.
Our Rector emphasized the importance of recording, measuring, evaluating and reporting while monitoring the risks that institutions encounter or may encounter in their daily activities that will prevent them from achieving their goals and objectives or create opportunities. Our Rector also wished that the training, which will last all day, would be productive.
In two separate sessions carried out within the scope of the training. Branch Manager of the Strategy Development Department Seyfi GÖKTEKİN presented his presentation entitled with "The Purpose of Training and the Reasons of Starting the Institutional Risk Management Processes," Internal Inspector Mehmet Hüseyin AKÇA presented his presentation entitled with "Determination of Risks within the Scope of Institutional Risk Management," and from the Accreditation, Academic Evaluation, and Quality Coordinatorship, Instructor Hakan SİPAHİ also presented his presentation entitled with "Explaining of the GUYBIS Institutional Risk Module."
