The first issue of the GRÜ Quality Bulletin, prepared by our University’s Accreditation, Academic Evaluation and Quality Coordinatorship, has been published. Covering the January–June 2026 period, the 31-page bulletin brings together our University’s quality assurance activities in a single publication and will from now on reach its readers every six months.

The first issue opens with the forewords of our Rector, Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Can; our Vice Rector for Quality, Prof. Dr. Güven Özdem; and our Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Şanal. In the “Get to Know Our Structure” section, the Coordinatorship staff and the current 23-member structure of the Quality Commission are introduced; the “First Half in Numbers” section summarizes the period’s key indicators on a single page.

In the Quality Chronicle section, the 30 activities recorded during the first half of the year are presented chronologically, month by month. Under the heading “Highlights of the Period,” eight developments are covered in detailed reports: the TS EN ISO 9001:2015 and TS EN ISO 10002 trainings conducted in cooperation with the TSE, the Quality Commission’s January meeting that set the agenda for the year, the visits of the Unit Monitoring Teams covering five units, the rise in our number of accredited programs to four following EPDAD accreditations, the completion of YÖKAK Quality Ambassador trainings by our students, the SPORAK site visit, the Internal Audit Training, and the in-service training aimed at achieving consistency in the implementation of teaching plans.

The bulletin also includes the 2023–2026 comparative results of the satisfaction surveys conducted by İDUAM, the digital quality tools available at kalite.giresun.edu.tr, and introductions to the Giresun University in Numbers portal, the GİMER Communication Center, and the KİDR 2025 Interactive Explorer, along with a road map extending to the YÖKAK Institutional Accreditation Program site visit to be held in October–November 2026. The issue concludes with an English summary prepared for international stakeholders and a “How Can You Contribute?” section inviting all our stakeholders to take part in the process.
