Within the scope of Giresun University 2025-2029 Strategic Planning Processes, an External Stakeholder Evaluation Workshop was held on Monday, November 27, 2023, at the Rectorate Şehit Ömer Halisdemir Conference Hall to obtain the information and opinions of our external stakeholders about our university and to identify our strengths and weaknesses. Representatives from public institutions, non-governmental organizations, suppliers, and student communities attended the workshop.
The workshop started with the opening speech of the Branch Manager and Vice Coordinator of the Accreditation, Academic Evaluation, and Quality Coordinatorship, Seyfi Göktekin. Afterward, the Rector of our University, Prof. Dr. Güven Özdem, gave an introductory presentation on the university and gave information about the importance of our external stakeholders. Prof. Dr. Özdem said in his speech, "As a university, we attach great importance to the 2025–2029 Strategic Planning processes. In this context, I would like to thank all my colleagues who worked on all of these processes. We held this workshop to determine the deficiencies of our university and to move forward in the direction of eliminating these deficiencies. My request from you, our valuable external stakeholders, is to evaluate the surveys in this context." Approximately 60 units from public institutions, non-governmental organizations, student communities, and representatives of suppliers providing services to our university were invited to the External Stakeholder Evaluation Workshop, which took place for the first time in the University Strategic Plan Preparation processes. Representatives of 45 of the invited units participated in the workshop and made opinions and suggestions.
Acting Rector of our University, Prof. Dr. Güven Özdem, Chief Advisor to the Rector and the Accreditation, Academic Evaluation, and Quality Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Şanal, and Vice Coordinator of Accreditation, Academic Evaluation, and Quality Assist. Prof. Dr. Hakan Sipahi and Coordinatorship Member Instructor Osman Serdal Karapınar attended the External Stakeholder Evaluation Workshop.
