The e-GRÜ Information Systems Portal, developed to provide access to the online information systems used at our University from a single address, has been published by our Department of Information Technologies and is now available at e-portal.giresun.edu.tr.

The portal provides access to information systems including the Student Information System (UBS), the Distance Education System (UZEM), the Electronic Document Management System (EBYS), corporate e-mail, the Quality Data Management System (KVYS), the GİMER Communication Centre and the Academic Data Management System (UNİS). The systems are presented under the categories of student, academic staff, administrative staff, graduate, prospective student and visitor.

The portal requires no login and stores no personal data. Systems can be searched by system or task name, and frequently used systems can be added to the "My Favourites" section. The "What Would You Like to Do?" section links common tasks such as viewing grades, joining an online class, topping up a meal card, reporting a fault and off-campus access directly to the relevant system. Turkish and English language options and accessibility features are also available.

The portal, intended to make access to our University's digital services easier, aims to help our students and staff reach the system they are looking for more quickly, to establish a common access point for units and to increase the visibility of institutional information systems.

Requests for systems to be added to the portal, together with any shortcomings or errors identified, can be submitted to the Accreditation, Academic Evaluation and Quality Coordinatorship.
