The Academic Data Management System (UNİS) of our University has been launched at unis.giresun.edu.tr. The system was developed as a commissioned project under the Scientific Research Projects programme, carried out by the Coordinatorship of Accreditation, Academic Evaluation and Quality.

Drawing on records from YÖKSİS, ORCID, Web of Science, Scopus and Google Scholar, the system brings together the publications, projects, patents, citations, awards and thesis supervisions of our academic staff. A publicly accessible profile page is created for every academic, comprising the Academic Summary, Academic Works, Chronological CV, and Impact and Recognition sections.

Searches can be run separately for academics, publications, projects, intellectual property, awards, theses and artistic activities, while unit pages present a consolidated view of academic output at faculty, institute, school and vocational school level.

The system allows academic performance and activity applications to be submitted online, commission assessments to be conducted in the same environment, and activity and publication reports to be produced at both individual and unit level. Publications and projects are also mapped to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and the distribution of research fields is presented separately according to the Turkish Interuniversity Board, Web of Science and Scopus classifications.

Access is granted through the institutional e-mail address and its password; no separate username or password is required.
